Join us at the Tribeca home of Kevin Roon and Simon Yates, one of New York City's most sought after small classical performance venues, as we celebrate the finale of our current season and lay the groundwork for next year.  We will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a raffle with some great prizes, and an exclusive live performance by the Chalfonte Quartet.  

Levels of support:

  • Friend ($150) - admission for one

  • Sponsor ($250) - admission for one, plus 6 raffle tickets

  • Patron ($500) - admission for one, plus 12 raffle tickets

  • Host ($1,000) - admission for four, plus 12 raffle tickets

  • Underwriter ($1,500) - admission for four, plus 20 raffle tickets

Donors in the Patron, Host and Underwriter categories will also be gratefully acknowledged in our event program (press deadline June 1).  Raffle tickets in addition to those included in the above support categories will be available for purchase at the event.

Complete raffle prize list will be posted in due course.

Vaughan Williams: A Sea Symphony

In our annual choral masterworks concert, we showcase the unique voice and vision of the English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, one of the most important symphonists of the 20th century. Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony (1910) combines the poetry of Walt Whitman with majestic writing for chorus and orchestra in a stirring and heartfelt exploration of sea, soul, and self. Concert length: c. 75 minutes with no intermission.

Tickets ($30 to $100, inclusive of processing fees) are available through the Carnegie Hall box office. We are delighted to be able to share a full length video of our May 6-7 performances of the Rachmaninoff Vespers, produced by our friends at Swan Studios!

Everyone who purchased a ticket to the May 6-7 concerts or supported our 2021-2022 fundraising efforts (including our June 9, 2022 Benefit) will receive a link to view the private YouTube video once it is released - sometime during the month of July. If you did purchase a ticket or make a donation this year, you do not need to do anything further.

If you did not purchase a ticket to one of the live performances or make a donation to Friends of the Choral Society this year, please make a donation of $25 using the link below and you will receive a link to the concert video when it is released.

Ralph Vaughan Williams’s 1912 Fantasia on Christmas Carols virtually invented the modern day carol medley, and has never been surpassed. The composer melds together a number of beloved ancient folk melodies that evoke the joy and mystery of the season. God bless our generation, who live both far and near!

Christmas Collection 4: Lauridsen's O Magnum Mysterium

Today, we bring you one of the most beloved choral works of recent years, by the West Coast composer Morten Lauridsen. Ancient European legend holds that farm animals gain the power of speech at midnight on Christmas Eve, recalling that magical moment some two thousand years ago. O great mystery and marvelous sacrament, that the animals should see the newborn Lord lying in a manger.

Vaughan Williams: A Sea Symphony

Dear Friends - With Lincoln Center and other NYC concert venues closed for rehearsal and performance until 2021, we have decided to cancel our Vaughan Williams “Sea Symphony” concert, which had been rescheduled from May 2, 2020. We will bring this majestic work back before the public as soon as circumstances allow.

If you already purchased a ticket for this concert, you have the option of (1) donating the purchase of the ticket to our orchestra relief fund or (2) receiving a full refund. If we do not hear from you by Labor Day, we will automatically convert your ticket purchase into a donation - no further action is required on your part. If would like a refund, please contact the Alice Tully Hall box office at 212.875.5050, Monday-Friday from 10:00am-6:00pm, and they will be glad to process it for you. Thank you for your support!
